Mauricio Bannwart, Managing Director of AkzoNobel’s Protective Coatings business, said: “We are proud to announce the launch of the SSPC Train the painter programme. It means that we are able to share our expertise with the industry, and provide delegates with training of the highest quality, delivered by the people who best understand the products and practices involved in coatings application.

“The qualification on offer is frequently being written into specifications for major oil and gas companies, national transport and governmental organizations as more people recognize the benefit of having trained professionals working on their assets. The course also reflects our commitment to sustainability and quality within the coatings industry.”
David Eyre, Project Manager, SSPC Train the painter, said: “We are delighted to be working with AkzoNobel to deliver this high-quality programme. By helping painters to improve their application skills, we are helping to reduce overspray, reduce waste and reduce the need for rework. This translates into tangible benefits for the asset owner and adds to the overall expertise and quality in our industry.”
