Andrew Deere
Andrew is a Business Studies graduate from Bristol University. After initially taking some time out to travel Andrew joined the MPI Group in 1990, his family’s publishing business. His initial job role was as Advertising Executive for Drydock magazine.
Andrew now concentrates on managing the Support Office at the company’s base in Farnham, Surrey and giving direction on the future business strategy of Corrodere Academy
Lucy Pavia
Lucy has worked with the Corrodere Academy for many years and is involved with the overall operating, development and global growth of the Academy.

Brendan Fitzsimons
Having spent over thirty years within the protective coatings industry, Brendan has worked as Divisional and Technical Director and Technical Authority for major multinational organisations such as Pyeroy. Wood, Stork, Barrier and Jotun Paints.
Brendan was instrumental in establishing the Corrodere Academy and it is his wealth of knowledge that has been poured into our accredited training material. Qualified to the highest level, it has always been Brendan’s vision to pass on, not only his knowledge, but that of his highly experienced network of peers. His aim is to continue to develop the industry and see it grow from strength to strength.
Acquiring the highest level qualifications within the industry including MSc Master’s Degree, Material Engineering, CSci Chartered Scientist, NACE Protective Coatings Specialist and NACE Corrosion Specialist, Brendan is keen to share his knowledge and experience through accessible training programmes.
As a NACE Lead Peer Reviewer and FICorr Fellow Member of the Institute of Corrosion, Brendan is widely known and respected within the industrial coating industry. Having published the books ‘Inspectors Visual Comparison Manual’, ‘Fitz’s Atlas of Coating Defects’ and ‘Fitz’s Atlas of Coating Surveys Coatings’ the name Fitzsimons is synonymous with excellence through the industry. Over the years the industry has relied on Brendan’s depth of knowledge as a Coatings Consultant and Technical Authority.
He has acted as an Expert Witness across the globe in industrial coating disputes in high court, arbitration and mediation. He has also been heavily involved in the investigation of paint failures and disputes on marine, offshore, petrochemical and construction industries as a subject matter expert and coatings advisor.
David Eyre
David Eyre has been working in the Protective and Marine coating industries for over 30 years. The majority of the time has been spent with major coating manufacturers in the UK and overseas. The last 10 years have been spent in training Applicators, Supervisors, Inspectors and Trainers globally.
In addition to the training activities, David has also advised on training suitability and requirements for a number of national organisations.
Laura Ozelyte
Laura joined us with a wealth of customer service and account management experience from the Hilton Group.
She is the first point of contact for all enquiries regarding our Coating Inspection and Specialist courses. Her role is to support students and offer advice based on customer experience.
Laura loves travelling and exploring the countryside with her dog Alfie.
Chloe Tribe
Chloe joined the Corrodere Academy team with a wealth of experience from 9 years in the media industry.
With 2 young boys and a dog, Chloe doesn’t get much spare time, but loves travelling to new countries and spending time with family and friends.
Christine Harrie
Christine has recently joined the Corrodere Academy bringing a wealth of experience from various roles in the healthcare sector.
She is our dedicated Training Coordinator, and has a passion for supporting students on their educational journey. Christine is excited to offer administrative assistance, ensuring a seamless study experience for all our students.
When she’s not working she can be found in nature, practicing yoga, or studying psychology. Her enthusiasm for helping others thrive makes her an invaluable asset to the Corrodere community.
Trevor Parry
With over forty years’ experience in the protective coatings industry and eventually as Technical Director and then Owner of Scientific and Technical Services Ltd, Trevor Parry, is principally involved in the evaluation of paint coatings, their modes and mechanisms of failure, cause and extent of breakdown and recommendations for their remedial treatment.
Kim Mepsted
