Lloyd’s Register is a technical and business services organisation and a maritime classification society, wholly owned by the Lloyd’s Register Foundation, a UK charity dedicated to research and education in science and engineering. The organisation dates to 1760.

SSPC Train the painter has been assessed by Lloyds Register against the contents of the NACE/SSPC Standard Practice for Industrial Coating and Lining Application Specialist Qualifications Certifications (SSPC-ASC-I/NACE No. 13) and has been found to meet the requirements of that standard and also NORSOK M-501.
