AMPP Conference and Exhibition 2026
Earlier this month, Corrodere attended this year’s AMPP Annual Conference & Exhibition in Houston, Texas. It was a great opportunity to spend time with our network from across the global corrosion and coatings industry.
Lucy and Andrew travelled out for what proved to be a busy and productive week. Before the conference began, they experienced a true taste of Texas with a visit to the rodeo – a memorable way to start the trip!
Once the exhibition opened, the focus was on catching up with contacts and having valuable conversations across the event. A key highlight was seeing the continued reach of our Train the painter programme, including time spent with affiliate provider Jose Padilla from Coating Consulting Services and Derek Adams from InfraMOD. It’s always encouraging to see the programme being delivered and supported internationally.
The event provided a great chance to reconnect with familiar faces across the industry. Lucy and Andrew caught up with Al Finch at Sherwin-Williams and attended a networking event at the Astros baseball stadium.
It was also good to spend time with our international training partners, Bob McMurdy and Mike Langtry, continuing conversations around collaboration. Alongside this, there were valuable discussions with Kris and Amy Kemper regarding their future training plans, as well as catching up with our fabulous contacts from Brazil Richard Bayer and Zehbour Panossian.
Great to also see Yunnan – President of ICorr and Gareth Hinds and Pascal Collet from European Coatings Federation and to catch up again with Juan Caballero and his family!
As always, one of the most valuable aspects of attending was the opportunity to meet with students, Train the painter companies, and wider industry contacts from around the world. These face-to-face conversations remain an important part of maintaining and building relationships and progress across the sector.
Overall, it was a really worthwhile visit to Houston, with plenty of constructive conversations and opportunities to strengthen connections across the industry. We look forward to continuing those discussions in the months ahead!
