Corrous Industrial Group join Train the painter
As one of our newest registered companies, Corrous Industrial Group brings a clear, structured vision to the protective coatings sector. Built around governance, competence, and long-term credibility, the business has embedded quality and accountability into its foundations from day one.
We spoke with the founders about their background in the coatings industry, why they chose to become Train the painter registered, and what structured training means for the future of the sector.
Built on experience in high-risk environments
The founders of Corrous Industrial Group have spent their careers operating in high-risk industrial environments, where the consequences of asset failure are significant — both financially and from a safety perspective.
“The Founders of Corrous Industrial Group have spent their careers focusing heavily on protective coatings in high-risk industrial environments where asset failure carries significant safety and financial consequences. Through that experience, one recurring theme stood out — coating failures are rarely random. They are usually the result of process breakdown, insufficient preparation, or a lack of structured competence. That insight shaped the creation of Corrous Industrial Group. We built an integrated industrial services model combining industrial cleaning, protective coatings, inspection, and scaffolding. The goal was to eliminate fragmentation and create tighter control over asset integrity from preparation through to final coating application.”
By integrating multiple disciplines under one structure, Corrous was designed to remove gaps in accountability and strengthen control over quality at every stage of a project.
A company defined by structure
From the outset, the ambition behind Corrous Industrial Group was clear: build for longevity, not short-term gain.
“We wanted to build a company defined by structure rather than speed. The priority was governance, competence and long-term credibility. In heavy industry, reputation compounds slowly and can be lost quickly. So from the beginning, we focused on compliance frameworks, technical development, and building leadership accountability into each division. Our ambition is not cheap and cheerful. We are building a scalable industrial services group capable of operating confidently in highly regulated environments where standards are non-negotiable.”
This emphasis on governance and competence aligns closely with the ethos behind Train the painter, where measurable standards and verified capability underpin professional delivery.
Why Train the painter registration matters now
As Corrous Industrial Group continues to scale, maintaining consistent standards across a growing workforce has become a key priority.
“At this stage of growth, it was critical that our technical capability is formally recognised and independently verified. We are scaling. As we grow our workforce, particularly in protective coatings, we need a structured and recognised benchmark for competence. Train the Painter provides that framework. It gives clients assurance, and it gives our workforce a clear development pathway. Becoming registered now ensures that as we grow, standards rise with us.”
Formal recognition not only strengthens client confidence, but also provides clarity and progression for employees within the business.
Embedding professionalism into company culture
For Corrous Industrial Group, registration is not a badge, it is part of building a measurable, accountable culture.
“It embeds the idea that professionalism in coatings is measurable. We are developing a culture where competence is evidenced, not assumed. Training pathways, certification, and continual development are part of how we operate, not something done retrospectively to satisfy audits. Train the painter aligns with our belief that coating application is a technical discipline that requires structured learning, not just experience alone.”
By integrating structured training into daily operations, the company is ensuring standards are proactive rather than reactive.
Strengthening the industry through structured training
Beyond their own business, Corrous sees structured certification as a key step in raising standards across the wider coatings sector.
“Protective coatings safeguard critical infrastructure. When failure occurs, the impact can be operational, environmental, and financial. Structured training and recognised certification reduce variability. They create consistency across projects, strengthen client confidence, and elevate the perception of the industry as a skilled profession. If we want fewer premature coating failures and longer asset lifecycles, we must professionalise training across the sector.”
Professionalisation, consistency, and reduced variability are recurring themes and ones that resonate strongly across the industry.
Looking ahead
Registration marks a foundational step in Corrous Industrial Group’s long-term strategy.
“We intend to make structured technical development part of our identity. As Corrous Industrial Group grows, Train the painter will form part of our internal progression pathways, from entry-level applicators through to advanced and supervisory roles. Longer term, we want to contribute to raising standards across the sector and attract new talent by showing there is a defined, professional career pathway within protective coatings. This registration is a foundational step in building a business designed for long-term impact rather than short-term gain.”
As they continue to grow, their commitment to structured competence and measurable professionalism positions them as a company focused not just on projects, but on lasting industry impact.
