Corrodere at Highways UK
Last week, Lucy and Ella attended Highways UK, connecting with industry professionals, strengthening relationships and exploring the latest developments across the highways and infrastructure sector.
It was a fantastic opportunity to catch up with familiar faces, including Richard Jays from Freyssinet, who is currently studying towards his ICorr Level 2 qualification with Corrodere, as well as representatives from Kilnbridge and Severfield.
Lucy and Ella also enjoyed connecting with our Train the painter registered companies, Denholm Industrial Services and VolkerLaser, discussing training opportunities and how the programme can continue to support workforce development across the industry.
Alongside networking, they followed insightful discussions from Nick Joyce, Interim CEO of National Highways, and Justin Madders MP, Minister for Roads, covering priorities for the UK’s road network, infrastructure delivery and long-term maintenance.
With Train the painter recognised within National Highways’ skills and competency requirements, the event was a timely reminder of the importance of qualified coating applicators in protecting critical infrastructure. Through recognised training, the programme supports the skills and standards needed to protect steel structures against corrosion and extend their service life.
A big thank you to everyone who took the time to catch up with Lucy and Ella! We look forward to continuing these conversations and supporting the industry through high-quality training and professional development.
