Specialist Coatings and Inspection (SCI) are now in their second year as a Registered Company of Train the painter. Delivering Train the painter courses to their staff in-house is key to ensuring high standards of excellence to their clients.

SCI specialise in the three key stages of coating services within the construction industry: surface preparation, surface treatment and surface protection. A key area for SCI is the rail industry where they have extensive experience. The Train the painter programme ensures they are committed to quality standards and meet the required specifications.

Technical Director Cosmin Hincu has been involved with Train the painter for over 4 years, becoming an Approved Trainer back in 2020. Cosmin has undertaken a number of courses with the Corrodere Academy including ICorr Level 2 and 3, Thermal Metal Spray Inspection, and Fireproofing Inspection, and was instrumental in bringing the Train the painter programme to SCI.
